2015 Contest Information

Welcome to the 2015 Big Fish of the Year! The contest has been live since January 1st. Hopefully if you're paid up you already know the species and word.

Just a reminder, we will still accept new entries but we want to keep to our entry principal. If someone is interested, please explain the contest but keep the species a secret until they've agreed to participate. We don't want people to only participate if their species of choice is selected. This defeats the purpose of the contest.

Entry fee is $20
The 2015 word of the year is, "Princess Sophia" (don't ask...)
The 2015 primary species is, Walleye
The 2015 bonus fish species, Largemouth Bass

2015 Payouts will be as follows:
Bonus Fish Winner - $40
Primary Species Winner - 100% of remaining entry $

For full rules please see our "Contest Rules" page. You can submit a photo by clicking the link above. It's just a standard email link, so remember to attach the photo.

We want to encourage everyone to submit photos even if you don't think it will win. It's also fun to use this as a bragging board. Or just to get your name on the leader board.

Have a good 2015 season!

Congratulations to Steve Gail who caught a nice 14" Crappie and took the win for the Big Fish of the Year.

The secondary fish or "bonus fish" was won by Chad Griggs with a 20.75" Smallmouth

The 2015 is underway. If you had paid you should know the species and word, if you don't please contact me. I will announce the full information on the website soon but I still want to allow time for more people to join. If you know anybody who is interested, please feel free to invite them. Good luck everyone!
